This division continues to build strong classical ballet technique while developing strength, coordination, musicality, and artistry in a structured and supportive environment.

Princeton Ballet School students may have the opportunity to perform alongside the professional artists of American Repertory Ballet in productions such as The Nutcracker. Participation in The Nutcracker is by audition for dancers in Levels 1-3.

The Princeton Ballet School Spring Performance is open to all Level 1-3 dancers and does not require an audition, offering a joyful and inclusive opportunity for all eligible students to experience performing on stage.

Level 1

Level 1 Ballet introduces students to a more sophisticated and in-depth exploration of classical ballet technique, building upon foundational skills with increased structure and precision

Level 2

Level 2 Ballet marks the beginning of a more rigorous and disciplined approach to classical technique. At this stage, students focus on refining alignment, strength, and coordination while deepening their understanding of proper placement and execution.

Level 3

Level 3 Ballet is a more challenging stage of training that requires increased focus, discipline, and physical strength. At this level, technique is developed with an emphasis on building the core stability, leg strength, and alignment necessary to safely prepare for pointe work in Level 4.
